At KnowArgentina, we love to showcase voices that go beyond travel tips to capture what Argentina truly feels like. That’s why we’re thrilled to share this guest post by Ale and Charly, a couple of digital nomads who have explored much of the world—but keep returning to one place that never stops stirring their hearts: Argentina.

Today we want to tell you about a place that’s more than just a dot on the map. It’s where everything begins. Our refuge. Our home. Today we talk about Argentina.

Just thinking about it touches something deep inside us. Because Argentina is not just a country: it is pure emotion, an energy that vibrates differently, a passion that can be felt on the skin. And although we define ourselves as digital nomads, after traveling around the world, we always come back. There is something in Argentina that we do not find anywhere else. Something that cannot be explained: it is lived.

We are not going to tell you about tourist places or give you travel tips. Today we want to tell you what Argentina means to us. Because beyond the stamps in your passport and the miles accumulated, there is a certainty that does not change: Argentina is one of the most intense, complex and beautiful countries on the planet.

💫 An energy that cannot be explained... only lived.

From the unmistakable vibe of Buenos Aires—a mix of creative chaos, European architecture, historic cafés, and non-stop nightlife—to the extreme landscapes of the south and north, Argentina is pure diversity.

But what really makes you fall in love are not only its glaciers, waterfalls, steppes or multicolored mountains. What makes it unforgettable is its people.

The Argentine soul wraps you in a warm embrace, welcoming you like family—even if you just met minutes ago. Here, greetings come with kisses, toasts are shared with hugs, and conversations burn with passion. Even in moments of disagreement, there’s always a conversation waiting… often accompanied by a steaming mate shared between friends.

🫂 The country where friendship is a cause for celebration

A perfect example is one of our most cherished creations: the Day of the Friend, every July 20th. Why that date? Because it marks humanity’s first steps on the Moon—a symbol of global unity that Argentines transformed into an intimate, inspiring, and deeply heartfelt celebration.

That night, across every corner of the country, bars brim with life, toasts echo through the air, and everything revolves around one simple truth: being close. Feeling close.

If you find yourself in Argentina on that day, don’t miss the chance to experience it. Nothing feels more genuine than celebrating Friend’s Day alongside Argentines.

A country of contrasts (and emotions)

Argentina is a land of extremes — and that’s what shapes its spirit. On the same street corner, you might find someone raising a beer in celebration while just a few steps away, another marches for the rights of many. The air buzzes with honking horns, bursts of laughter, and heated debates. Dogs roam freely, dinners begin at 10 p.m., and prices shift as unpredictably as the weather.

Argentina is intense — a blend of chaos and tenderness. An emotional whirlwind that can wear you out… yet always leaves you feeling truly alive.

Perhaps that’s why, no matter how the world tempts us with new cultures, landscapes, and experiences, Argentina will always be our emotional home—woven into our affections, our unwritten codes, and the very way we feel and see the world.

✈️ Are you a digital nomad planning to come to Argentina?

If you’re considering living or working remotely in this southern corner of the world, there’s plenty to learn beforehand: how to navigate the streets, read local gestures and cultural cues, get around without overpaying, and adapt to a lifestyle as passionate as it is unpredictable.

That's why we created this community. To share not only routes and recommendations, but also street culture, real experiences and tips that don't appear in the guidebooks.

We want your experience in Argentina to be as enriching as it is intense.

We are Ale and Charly, a couple of nomadic travelers who chose to live with one foot in the world... and our hearts in Argentina.
